the scent of the earth
the scent of the earth
falling away from my hands
staring at the sun
the scent of the earth
falling away from my hands
staring at the sun
a scent drifts on by
the touch of a sweet fragrance
wind caressed roses
pause in the sunlight
and gaze upon a flower
love is what you do
gaze into darkness
in a corner of my soul
watching the watcher
ways to start the day
white tea with milk and honey
morning happiness
feel the drifting wind
relax in its soft embrace
bird on a wire
forever to fight
and hold fast against the change
older by the day
of little hauntings
breathless screaming in the night
footsteps in the dark
to hold still the day
and reflect on what has been
a dram of whiskey
it's gone rather stale
holding spiders and cobwebs
the state of my mind
